Walk-in Interview for JRF Position

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department oBiotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following position.

Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 position)

Project: “Exploring the protein-coding functions of circular RNAs in skeletal muscle cell differentiation (Funded by SERB)

PI: Dr. Amaresh Panda

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA@16%

Eligibility & Selection: Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics or allied Life Science subjects with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible to apply. Candidates must have qualified national level exam such as NET/GATE/GPAT/BET. Candidates with knowledge and experience in bioinformatics analysis or molecular biology techniques will be preferred. This JRF position may lead to PhD registration based on the performance of the candidate.

Age Limit: The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 12.02.2024. An age relaxation of five years in the case of SC/ST/women/PH candidates and three years in the case of OBC candidates will be given (as per Govt. of India rules).

The interested/eligible candidates may download the application form from our website www.ils.res.in and attend the interview with the complete application form along with attested copies of mark sheets and certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if any), along with the experience certificate. Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected. The appointment will be for one year or until the end of the project.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
