WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Walk-in-interview will be held on 24.01.2024 at ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad for the Temporary post of Young Professional- II (One post) (Posting at Biotechnology Laboratory) on consolidated pay of Rs.42,000.00 (fixed) per month initially for a period of one year and also as per the ICAR guidelines from time to time.

Position: Young Professional-II (Crop Improvement Section)

Essential Qualification: Post-Graduate [M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.S./ M.Sc.(Agri)] from a recognized University with a specialization in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Microbiology / Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences / Botany.

Please note: Preference will be given for specialization in the same order as listed. 

Desirable Qualification:

• Dissertation/Thesis work in the area of plant biotechnology/tissue culture

Job Description: Conducting laboratory/ field/ Pot experiments in the area of biotechnology including DNA/RNA/Protein isolation; PCR Procedure; Q-RT PCR Procedure; Gel electrophoresis; In vitro culturing of plants; Genetic Transformation; Recording, organizing, analysis, and report generation of experimental data under the supervision and guidance of scientist.

Method of Selection: Walk-in-interview.

Emoluments: YP-II
Rs. 42, 000/- (fixed) per month(As per the ICAR Guidelines from time to time)

Terms and Conditions:

1. Age Limit:
   The candidate’s age should not be less than 21 years as on 01.01.2024 and not more than 45 years as on 01.01.2024 (with relaxation as per Govt. rules) in case of SC/ST/OBC & PH candidates.
2. No Objection Certificate: A No Objection Certificate from the present employer must be produced if already working.
3. Temporary Position: The above position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.
4. Re-employment Prohibition: There is no provision for re-employment after the termination of the project/Scheme.
5. Travel Allowance: No T.A./D.A. will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview/written examination.
6. Canvassing Warning: Canvassing in any form will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
7. Decision Authority: The decision of the Director, IIOR, would be final and binding in all aspects.
8. Document Verification: Candidates must bring their latest passport size photograph, original certificates starting from SSC/Matriculation to the highest Degree, and also self-attested copies of educational qualifications, age, caste, experience, and publications, etc., at the time of Walk-in-interview for verification. No candidate will be allowed for the interview/written examination without original certificates.
9. Tenure Extension: The tenure of the selected candidate may be extended from time to time in accordance with the guidelines of the Council/ICAR.
10. Registration Time: Candidates may register their candidature from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 am only on 24.01.2024.
11. Safety Measures: Every candidate has to wear a face mask and use gloves compulsory, and not touch the walls, surrounding furniture items/railing, etc., of the office while attending the Walk-in Interview/written examination.
12. Aarogya Setu App: All candidates are hereby advised to install the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones having compatible mobile phones while attending the Interview. Aarogya Setu enables early identification of the potential risk of infection and thus acts as a shield for individuals and the community. With a view to ensuring safety in offices and workplaces.
13. Secrecy Declaration: The Young professional (YP) shall be subject to the laws of Secrecy of the country and will sign a declaration of secrecy and Non-Disclosure Agreement before reporting.
