Freshers Associate Content Editor – Zoology at Clarivate, Apply Online
Clarivate is currently seeking a motivated Associate Content Editor to join our talented Zoological Records (ZR) team in Chennai/Hyderabad. The ZR team consists of 13 members and focuses on selecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing scientific research related to zoology. We are looking for someone with comprehensive knowledge in the field of life sciences, who is target-driven and can meet defined quality standards.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Work experience: Fresher or at least 1 year of experience in content editing in a science-related field
- Education: M.Sc. Zoology or related life science streams
- Skills: Knowledge of animal classification, systematic taxonomy, and nomenclature; good scientific research and analytical skills with attention to detail
It would be great if you also had a master’s degree in life science (Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology). Knowledge of animal classification, systematic taxonomy, and nomenclature would be an added advantage.
What will you be doing in this role?
- In this role, you will apply zoology, systematic taxonomy, ICZN Nomenclature, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology concepts to curate animal and biological-related data from research articles in line with editorial policies.
- You will be responsible for achieving weekly production volumes and consistently meeting quality targets.
- Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process changes, take initiative in resolving issues, and stay updated on scientific trends and developments related to your editorial responsibilities.
About the Team
ZR is a comprehensive source of animal information with mainly related animal classification, systematic taxonomy & Nomenclature coming from academic literature and covers all aspects of animal biology. As an Content editor in the ZR team you will select, analyse and interpret, and summarize scientific research and, as such, you should have comprehensive knowledge in a life sciences subject. Your role will require you to be target-driven and to meet defined quality standards.
In addition, this team and its processes and workflows are about to undergo huge transformation which will offer opportunities to rethink how the team operates and identify synergies with similar teams so the ideal candidate will be comfortable with change and someone able to offer ideas and think creatively.

- Team working hours: 9 am to 6 pm IST
