Recruitment for the post of “Project Assistant and Project Associate -II” under the APDMC project
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier
autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India,
for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country.
The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position purely
on a contract basis:
Post I
Name of the post: Project Assistant
Name of the project: Biodiversity Assessment in the Seshachalam Hills

Minimum Qualifications
Essential:
- B.Sc. in any Biological Sciences (minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade), B. Tech in Biotechnology (minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade) or equivalent degree.
Desirable:
- M.Sc. in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Candidates having basic knowledge of and experience with Molecular lab techniques like DNA extraction, PCR, and Gel electrophoresis are preferred.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- + 8% HRA

One (01)Tenure: The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Age: Not more than 50 years on the closing date of the advertisement.

Minimum Qualifications
Essential:
- M.Sc. in any Biological Sciences (minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade), B. Tech in Biotechnology (minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade) or equivalent degree.
- Two years of experience in research and development in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
Fellowship:
- (i) Rs. 35,000/- + 8% HRA to Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- (ii) Rs. 28,000/- + 8% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
