A. Sentinel Surveillance Project
Project Title: “Genomic Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 in India: Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG)- Phase II”
Name of the Post: Project Associate II (Bioinformatics)
No. of Position: 2
Consolidated Remuneration: [INR] per month
- 35,000 + 24% HRA with NET/GATE OR 28,000+24% who do not fall under (i)
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in bioinformatics/biotechnology/Allied disciplines, MTech in Computer Science /Eng/MCA or related discipline
Desirable Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services
- Experience in database handling and web-programming
- Experience in Unix and R
- Experience in biostatistics
Nature of Duty:
- Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 genome sequence data, variant calling, report preparation, and data upload
B. Sewage Surveillance Project
Name of the Post: Project Associate II (Sequencing)
No. of Position: 1
Consolidated Remuneration: [INR] per month
- 35,000 + 24% HRA with NET/GATE OR 28,000+24% who do not fall under (i)
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Life Science/Biotechnology or related discipline
Desirable Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services
- Minimum 1-year experience in hands-on next-generation sequencing
Laboratory Technician
No. of Position: 1
Consolidated Remuneration: 20,000 + 24% HRA
Essential Qualifications:
- BSc in Life Science/3 years diploma in Medical Lab Technology
- Experience in genomics lab work (minimum 1 year)
Nature of Duty:
- For sample collection, sample processing in the laboratory, and work with Project Associates in the laboratory
These positions are contractual, and the appointment will initially be given for three months only.
- Walk-in interview: Date: 28-12-2023 (Thursday) at 11 am.
- Reporting Time and Venue: Before 10-30 AM, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF BIOMEDICAL GENOMICS (NIBMG), P.O.: N.S.S., Kalyani 741251
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the Interview.
