National Brain Research Centre Agricultural Sciences Project Job – Applications Invited

NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites applications for the post of “Project Associate I (Project)” in a SERB funded project entitled “Regulation of homeostatic plasticity by long non-coding RNAs”.

Name of the post: Project Associate-I (Project)

No. of positions: 01 (one)

Essential Qualification: Masters’ degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in behavioural assay or next generation sequencing data analysis or confocal microscopy. Please note that expertise in at least one of these techniques is absolutely necessary considering approved objectives of the project.

Fellowship:

(i) ₹ 31,000/- + 16% HRA pm for those who have qualified any of the national level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions (CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT / ICMR-JRF or similar).

(ii) ₹ 25,000/- + 16% HRA pm for those who do not fall under (i) above. No other allowances are applicable.

Age limit: Maximum 35 years (as on the last date of receipt of application)

Project Investigator: Prof. Sourav Banerjee

, Scientist VI, NBRC

Tenure: The tenure will be for one year and renewable for two more years upon successful review of performance. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Accommodation: Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.
