Advertisement for the position of a Research Assistant opening as part of a project to be undertaken in the Centre for Climate and Environmental Studies at IISER Kolkata.
Project Title: Restoration of two urban waterbodies under Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, Salt Lake, Kolkata, using bio-engineering approaches.
Funding Agency: West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB)
Position: Research Assistant
Number of Vacancies: 1
Salary: As per sanction letter (WBPCB)
Age Limit: Must not be over 35 years as on 2nd January, 2024 (relaxation available for reserved categories as per Government of India rules)
Background of the Project
The project aims to restore two urban wetlands in Kolkata using holistic microbiome-based approaches. For more information, please write to Prof. Punyasloke Bhadury at [email protected].
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Natural Science, including Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Botany, or Environmental Science. Candidates with field experience, specifically in aquatic environments, will be given preference.
