Recruitment of a Project technical support-III at Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad for the ICMR sponsored project “Prediction of Idiosyncratic Drug Induced
Liver Injury (iDILI): A comprehensive in silico, in vitro and in vivo based multi-tier screening approach”

Brief description: iDILI is the major cause of drug attrition during toxicity trials and even withdrawal from postmarketing. Bile salt export pump (BSEP/ABCB11) inhibition is a major contributor to iDILI. The present project aims to devise an ensemble-docking based screening approach to rank the existing and approved drugs for possible iDILI effects which will be further verified in appropriately developed cellular and in vivo zebrafish models. This project is a large-scale screening initiative of approved and existing drugs for possible iDILI effects utilizing multi-disciplinary approaches

Principal Investigator: Dr. Sandipan Chakraborty, Associate Principal Research Scientist

Co-Principal Investigators: Dr. Kishore Parsa, Principal Research Scientist and Dr. Kiranam Sr. Principal Research Scientist

Fellowship Duration

The initial appointment will be for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on yearly performance and project continuation.

Stipend and Allowances

The selected candidate

will receive a stipend of Rs. 28000 per month along with 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Biological/Chemical/Physical/Agricultural Sciences. Candidates with GATE/UGC-CSIR NET (JRF/LS)/DBT-JRF scores will be preferred.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 35 years. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/OBC, physically handicapped, and female applicants.
