About the Position

This role is for an Associate Content Editor who will be responsible for analyzing patents and creating comprehensive abstracts that enhance the research value of our products. Freshers are preferred, but candidates with up to one year of experience in a similar job profile can also apply. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in their respective technology domain, preferably with a graduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Prepare abstracts for patents according to the DWPI Abstracting policy document
- Analyze patents and provide accurate and editorially enhanced technical information
- Achieve volume and quality targets
- Maintain awareness of current developments and trends in the technology domain
- Identify training and developmental needs to enhance skills
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by the line manager
Requirements
- Freshers preferred, but candidates with up to one year of experience can apply
- Comprehensive knowledge in the respective technology domain
- Technical skills relevant to the technology area
- Graduate from MSc (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry), B.Tech/M.Tech (Biotechnology)
- Knowledge of patents and abstracts is a plus
About the Team
The Abstraction Team in IP Operations is responsible for enriching and curating high-quality content sets. We analyze patents to generate editorially enhanced technical summaries that enhance the research value of our products. The team works collaboratively to meet individual and team goals, production targets, and quality standards.
Hours of Work
- Full-time
- Permanent role
- Team working hours: 9 am to 6 pm IST and some colleagues work from different time zones (UK, USA)
Location
This position is available in either Hyderabad or Chennai.
