Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following posts on a contract basis in the ICMR funded project titled ‘Investigation of the role Mucosa Associated Invariant T (MAIT) cell in acute and chronic Chikungunya virus infection: A Prospective, observational study’ under Dr. Manjunatha M.V., Associate Professor, Dept. of Neurovirology and Principal Investigator.

Essential/Desirable Qualification with experience
- 1st class Master’s Degree in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology from a recognized university with 3 years’ experience in the relevant field or PhD.
OR - 2nd class Master’s Degree + PhD in Virology/Microbiology from a recognized university with 3 years’ experience in the relevant field as follows:
- At least one publication in peer-reviewed journals in the relevant area. Journal should be listed in the Science Citation Index (SCI).
- Experience in virology, cell culture, immunology, flow cytometry, Real Time PCR.
- Good knowledge of the application of quantitative tools/techniques and statistical modeling.
Age Limit: 40 years
Salary: Rs.67,000/- plus 27% HRA
Duration of the post
: Initial appointment will be made for a period of 1 year which will be extendable until the end of the project depending upon the performance of the candidate.How to Apply:
