Tea Research Association, a renowned organization dedicated to tea research, is seeking eligible candidates for the positions of Research Associates and Research Fellows for a Hindustan Unilever Limited sponsored project. The project, titled “Moving Towards a Carbon Neutral Pathway for the Indian Tea Industry,” will be conducted at the Climate and GIS Lab in Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam.
Post I
Position: Research Fellow (SN:3)
Place of work: Mainly at Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat. If required, may be posted in other experimental sites.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Qualification: M. Sc in Life Science/Botany
Desirable Qualification and Experience: Minimum two years of research experience in the
relevant area. Knowledge of computer applications and statistics will be preferred
Salary: Rs. 20,000 + 10% HRA per month
Responsibilities: Conduct field experiments, implement treatments, collect and analyze data, assist in report preparation, and more.
Post II
Position: Research Fellow (SN:7)
Place of work: Terai Advisory Centre, Terai, North Bengal
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Qualification: M. Sc in Life Science/Botany/Biochemistry
Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications and statistics
Salary: Rs. 20,000 + 10% HRA per month
Responsibilities: Conduct field experiments, implement treatments, conduct regular
data collection, assist in report preparation, and more.Project Duration: 18 months (extendable subject to satisfactory performance)
General Instructions:
- The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No expenses will be provided for attending the interview.

- All terms and conditions of appointment will be governed by prevailing Institute rules, and the decision of the Chairman of the Selection Committee will be final.
- Selected candidates must be able to join immediately or on short notice.
- The Director of Tocklai Tea Research Institute reserves the right to select or reject any candidate and cancel the interview without assigning any reason.
