Position Summary
The Associate Medical Manager, Medical Review Services supports the Global Medical Affairs team and Global Medical Leads at Pfizer by performing medical pre-review (reference check) of promotional and sales training materials. This role involves active engagement with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and perform pre-review of materials. The Associate Medical Manager will be part of a highly skilled and qualified team within the Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group.
Position Responsibilities
Pre-Medical Review
- Perform medical pre-review (reference check) of promotional and above brand materials, ensuring accuracy, truthfulness, and alignment with regulatory documents
- Manage end-to-end pre-medical review for assigned therapy areas
- Conduct reviews independently with minimal supervision, following internal SOPs and external regulatory guidance
- Support scientific congresses through content review and congress reports in GCMA
- Deliver assigned documents on or before the deadline, ensuring quality
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Medical Leads and Marketing leads to ensure smooth workflow for reference check
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Lead communication with different stakeholders for coordinated functions and workflow
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Education
Graduate/Post-graduate/Doctorate degree in life sciences/Pharmacy/Medical sciences or
equivalent degrees.Experience
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience for medical graduates, PhDs, and masters in life sciences OR more than 6 years of relevant experience for science graduates
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical writing/review within an agency, CRO, or Pharma/Biotech Company
- Prior experience in medical content creation or promotional material review preferred
- Prior experience in conducting medical reviews or QC of regulatory documents preferred
Technical Skills Requirements
- Excellent review or QC skills, experience in promotional material or content review preferred
- Proficiency in analyzing scientific claims and checking against references
- High fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective influencing and negotiating skills
- Familiarity with global regulatory guidance, especially ICH, FDA, and EMA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
