About the Company:
Clarivate is seeking an IP SME to join its highly regarded Life Science search and analytics team, part of the Global Service Operations team, at their Noida Office. With a team of 40 colleagues and reporting to the Manager, this is an amazing opportunity to work with a company known for its strong work ethic, attention to detail, and expertise in the life sciences domain and adjacent technology domains.
About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments:
- Minimum of B.E./B.Tech. degree in Biotechnology.
- 2-4 years of IP experience on various Patent searches – FTO, Patentability/Novelty search, Patent Landscaping, Invalidity, SOA, etc.
- Prior knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and/or Patent laws.
- Ability to perform protein and nucleotide-based sequence searches and analyze sequence homology using public and proprietary sequence platforms will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience on Patent and Non-patent databases including Sequence Search databases.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Excel, proficiency in PowerPoint, and ability to ramp quickly on a variety of analytical patent tools.
- Capable of working on individual projects as well as in a team environment.
Additional Qualifications:
- M. Sc/M. Tech/M.E./Ph. D degree in Biotechnology.
- Self-starter, meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to partner on projects with others, working across the IP organization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patent search projects including patentability, state-of-art, FTO, and invalidity searches, in the life sciences domain and adjacent technology domains.
- Search in different patent databases and analyze patent publications.
- Search and analyze non-patent literature.
- Perform various other types of patent analyses, such as claims mapping, portfolio analysis, patent categorization, patent valuation, and infringement analysis, etc.
- Initial scoping and providing quotes for projects from Global customers.
About the Team:
The position is for an IP SME in the Life Science search and analytics team at Noida Office. This team is responsible for providing various IP search support to the Global customers. The team consists of a senior IP Analyst, an IP Lead, and a manager.
Hours of Work:
40 working hours a week with flexible time between 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM (IST) and this is a permanent role.
