We are pleased to announce an exciting job opportunity at VIT Vellore for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the field of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. The project is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and focuses on the identification of circulating lineages of Burkholderia pseudomallei from clinical and environmental sources using AI metabolite-MS database. Job Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Project Title: Circulating lineages of Burkholderia pseudomallei from clinical and environmental sources, and their direct identification using AI metabolite-MS database
Qualification: M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science
Duration: 3 years
Number of Positions: 1
Stipend: Rs. 35000 per month + 9% HRA
Sponsoring Agency: ICMR
Location: VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India
Requirements: Preferably candidates with 2 years of experience in modern laboratory omics workflows for genome sequence analysis, and single cell genomics. Must have delivered analytics solutions using Machine Learning techniques such as Linear Regression, gradient descent, Logistic Regression, Forecasting, Cluster analysis, Decision trees, Linear Optimization, Text Mining etc.
