About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Editorial Engagement Specialist to join our team for the launch of a new open access journal. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with authors, reviewers, and the broader academic community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a dynamic open access publication.
Role Responsibilities:
- Author and Reviewer Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for authors and reviewers, providing timely and professional communication.
- Guide authors through the submission and publication process, addressing their inquiries and ensuring a smooth experience.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to identify potential reviewers and assist in reviewer recruitment.
- Maintain a strong network of potential authors and reviewers.
- Oversee the manuscript submission and peer-review process, ensuring manuscripts move efficiently through the review cycle.
- Monitor manuscript progress and follow up with authors and reviewers to meet publication deadlines.
- Provide support for authors in formatting, figure preparation, and manuscript revisions.
Educational Qualification: Masters in any discipline of Life and Physical Sciences.
Years of Experience: 5-10 years
Place of Work: 1201/1301, Building No. 5 (R3), Gera Commerzone, Kharadi, Pune (Working in Hybrid Model)
Essential:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the academic publishing process and open access principles.
- Experience with manuscript submission and peer-review systems.
- Familiarity with academic databases and research trends.
Desired:
- Proficiency in using content management systems, social media platforms, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
