Job Description
We are currently seeking a SC QC Coordinator to join our team in Pune, India. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the best quality of our products and minimize customer complaints through stringent on-line quality control checks and finished product inspection. The SC QC Coordinator will be responsible for implementing quality control systems, conducting troubleshooting during production, and maintaining compliance with GMP, GHK GLP, and relevant audits.
Responsibilities
Online Quality Control in Process Area
- Conduct visual inspection to ensure key operating parameters of machines are within specified range
- Ensure optimum utilization of fryer oil through regular checks and comparison against gold standard
- Conduct product weak link analysis as per frequency guidelines
- Hold regular quality wall meetings to discuss and address quality defects
- Ensure PAE (Product Attribute Evaluation) analysis is conducted by operatives every hour
Online Quality Checks and Finished Product Inspection in Packaging Area
- Ensure packaging quality analysis is conducted according to protocol
- Conduct random film quality checks based on special complaints
- Communicate concern areas and corrective actions to operators and management
- Conduct product weak-link analysis and drive product wall evaluation
- Partner with R&D for packaging development
Machine Monitoring and Waste Control
- Calibrate machines to detect moisture and % of oil in chips
- Ensure timely blade and part replacements to avoid impact on product quality
- Conduct process capability studies and take corrective actions as necessary
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive reports of quality checks and inspections
- Circulate shift quality report and submit weekly/monthly quality reports
- Document quality procedures, systems, standards, findings, hazards, and corrective actions
Adherence to Statutory Laws and Customer Complaint Resolution
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws and maintain accurate statutory records
- Assist in root cause analysis of customer complaints and implement action plans
TPM Activities and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in TPM activities and projects to increase plant efficiency
- Identify areas of improvement and implement action plans
Training and Development
- Provide training to operatives on various quality aspects
- Lead initiatives to ensure timely implementation of improved packaging configurations
Qualifications
- M.Sc. Chemistry, Food Tech Degree, Post Graduate in Food tech, Post Graduate in dairy technology
- 2-5 years of experience in Food/Beverage/FMCG industry
- Exposure to food safety systems and ISO systems
- Preferably knowledge of HACCP/AIB and TPM
