Job Opening: Project Assistant
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Project Assistant under the DBT sponsored Ramalingaswami Re-Entry Fellowship Project. The project, titled “Mechanistic Role of Pyruvate Kinase M2 in Smooth Muscle Cell proliferation and intimal hyperplasia in the comorbid condition of diabetes and obesity,” is supervised by Dr. Manish Jain, Ramalingaswami Fellow at the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Essential Qualification: First class MSc in Biological Sciences.
Desirable Qualification and Experience
- GATE/GPAT, CSIR-NET, or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is desirable.
- Experience in Molecular Biology techniques.
- Experience in working with animal models and mammalian cell culture techniques will be preferred.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on the closing date of advertisement.
Fellowship: Monthly emoluments of Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated). The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and coterminous with the project, which has been sanctioned for a period of
five years.Selection Process: Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in the office of Chairperson, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, or may be interviewed through teleconference.
