National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) is an autonomous institution of the Government of India focused on biomedical research. We are currently looking for a Project Assistant to join our team for a research project funded by Chellaram Diabetes Research Foundation (CDRF).

Position: Project Assistant

Number of Positions: 01

Project name: Evaluation of growth factors and stem cell combination, novel formulation synergizes to accelerate wound healing in diabetic foot ulcer models.

Brief Description: The project intends to understand aspects of stem cell lineages and growth factor’s role in the chronic diabetic foot ulcer (DFUs). Current projects aim to evaluate functional assays and validate the combination therapy as a potential prospective use in the treatment for chronic diabetic foot ulcer (DFUs). Over all the endpoints of proposed study expects two key outcomes as, diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) wound healing and reduction in the pain score. Remuneration: Rs 27,000/- per month (consolidated)

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/M.VSc or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in stem cell or in-vitro cultures work along with cell biology assays.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in R&D laboratory.
  • Proven experience in conducting wound healing studies.

Nature of Duty:

A. Execution of the project work.
B. Organize the workflow and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
C. Organize research documents and other related matters as per the instruction of the Principal Investigator.

Duration: This position is contractual and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be given for three months only.

Note: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

The decision of NIBMG in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection, and conduct of interviews will be final and binding on the candidates. In exceptionally meritorious cases, the eligibility requirements may be relaxed by the competent authority

  1. Curriculum Vitae along with reprints of publications, if any.
  2. One Passport-size colored photograph.
  3. Self-attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications.
  4. Self-attested copies of experience certificates.
  5. Original and one self-attested copy of a government-issued photo ID proof (preferably Aadhar Card).
