MACS – Agharkar Research Institute, Pune is seeking applications for the temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Genetics and Plant Breeding Group. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in Agriculture, Biotechnology, or Botany, and a keen interest in plant pathology and molecular biology. The selected candidate will be part of a research project focused on studying the diversity and complex mechanisms of Bipolaris sorokiniana infections in wheat.

Qualifications:
Essential: Master’s degree (1st Class) in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Pathology OR Master’s degree (1st Class) in Biotechnology/Botany. Candidates must be qualified in any one of the following tests: CSIR/UGC/ICMR including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) OR GATE. National Level examination DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc., IISER, etc.
Desirable: Research experience in Plant pathology, molecular biology, microscopy, field layout, computer skills, statistical analysis, and scientific writing skills.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
Age Limit: Up to 28 years (31 years for JRF candidates). Age relaxation available for SC/ST/Differently abled/women candidates and OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates.
Job Location: Experimental and Research Farm, Hol – Soratewadi, Nira-Baramati Road, Baramati Tahsil, Dist. Pune- 412305. The candidate may also need to work in laboratories at Pune as and when required.
