Job Posting: Molecular Lab Specialist
Experience: 3-4 years of hands-on experience in seed and leaf
Education: Postgraduate in Biotechnology/Agri Biotechnology
Location: Medchal, Hyderabad
Brief Job Description:
As a Molecular Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and performing routine molecular lab activities required for F1 seed testing. Your key responsibilities will include seed and leaf sampling, DNA extraction, PCR, data interpretation, and communicating with internal stakeholders for sample shipments and results coordination.
A. Laboratory Operations
- Seed & Leaf Sampling, DNA extraction buffer preparations, sample storage.
- Perform routinely DNA extraction, quantification, and carry out q-PCR assays.
- Data analysis, results interpretation, and communication to stakeholders within stipulated Turn Around Time.
- Troubleshoot errors occurring during experiments.
B. Laboratory Innovations
- Develop and optimize different lab methods and prepare Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proactively look for cost and time-effective solutions to enhance productivity and reduce lead time.
- Collaborate with regional QC teams for molecular test improvements on local and regional projects.
C. Laboratory Maintenance
- Maintain functionality of lab equipment and troubleshoot equipment problems in coordination with service engineers.
- Maintain lab records.
- Maintain inventories of reagents and other supplies, and communicate with company representatives for purchases and quotations.
