Monthly Emolument (without NET/GATE qualification): INR 15,500/- for Year 1&2 and INR 17,500/- from Year 3 onwards

Monthly Emolument (with NET/GATE qualification): INR 31,000/- for Year 1&2 and INR 35,000/- from Year 3 onwards

Essential Qualifications: First Class Master Degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology or any other allied subjects with hands-on skill/knowledge of Microbial isolation and characterization and Molecular Biology/Biotechnological Techniques

Desirable Qualifications:

Candidates with experience in skill/knowledge related to plant biotechnology/culture will be preferred

• 1. Preference will be given to applicants with publication in Scopus/SCI indexed journal in the related field
  2. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the related field
  3. Candidates with NET/GATE/Equivalent qualification will be preferred
  4. Willingness for field visits and traveling, if needed

9. The position is co-terminus with the project duration. In the event of the JRF leaving
   before completing two years, he/she will be required to refund the stipend drawn by
   him/her from the date ofjoining to the date of leaving the project.
10. The candidate selected for the above position will have the option to register for PhD
    program at Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology
    (NIT) Agartala. However, for admission to PhD program, the candidate must meet
    certain eligibility requirements as per the PhD rules 2018 oleT Agartala.

Terms and Conditions: The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the administrative rules and conditions imposed by the Research & Consultancy Cell, NIT Agartala. Appointment will be based on satisfactory annual performance appraisal. The engagement can be terminated without assigning any reason.
