Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist/Support in effectively analyzing the implications of proposed and upcoming regulations for the company’s interests
- Proactively reconnoiter regulatory landscape in foreign jurisdictions to support business efforts
- Develop and manage submissions for TCL Nutrition and Specialty Chemical products in multiple regulatory jurisdictions
- Interface with R&D teams to ensure smooth integration of regulatory concerns in various projects
- Liaise with FSSAI and other jurisdictional agencies such as USFDA on any regulatory, compliance, or trade-related issues
Technical
- Lead/Manage/Contribute to Regulatory Affairs team efforts towards ensuring compliance of company products/processes/operations
- Assess and analyze potential claims in the company’s diverse range of products from a regulatory standpoint
- Preparation and maintenance of documentation related to Regulatory Affairs
- Collaborate with R&D teams to generate and integrate information that supports regulatory positions of the company products
- Keep the R&D teams updated on the changes in the regulatory environment and identify the opportunities/challenges for the innovation efforts
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Post-Graduate degree in science with majors in Food/Nutrition/Chemistry
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Nutrition and Specialty Chemicals regulatory function; regulatory experience dealing with international jurisdictions would be an asset
- Proficiency in regulatory matters, specifically in nutrition, health, and specialty product claims, demonstrating a deep understanding of the processes involved in developing and obtaining approvals for these claims
- Experience in working with scientific information and reports related to nutrition and specialty chemicals are essential
- Demonstrated experience of working with senior business stakeholders
