Syngene Hiring Biotech/Biochem candidates. Possible Interview Q & A are as follows:
1. Can you describe your experience with flow cytometer instrument calibration and routine maintenance?
Answer: In my previous role, I was responsible for performing regular instrument calibration and maintenance, ensuring that the flow cytometer operated at optimal performance levels. I followed established protocols and maintained meticulous records of these activities.
2.you provide an example of a challenging flow cytometry assay development project you’ve worked on, and how you approached it?
Answer: Certainly. I once encountered a complex assay development project where we needed to accurately identify rare cell populations in a heterogeneous sample. To tackle this challenge, I conducted a series of optimization experiments, adjusting parameters such as antibody concentrations and gating strategies until we achieved reliable and reproducible results.
3.How do you ensure data accuracy and timely delivery when performing flow cytometry data analysis?
Answer: I prioritize data accuracy by meticulously gating and verifying results during analysis. To ensure timely delivery, I set clear timelines for each project and adhere to them rigorously. Additionally, I maintain open communication with team members to address any unexpected issues promptly.
4.Can you share your experience with software tools used for flow cytometry data analysis, such as FlowJo or FACSDiva?
Answer: I have extensive experience with FlowJo and FACSDiva software, which I’ve used for data analysis and generating comprehensive reports. I’m proficient in creating gating strategies, calculating statistics, and visualizing results within these platforms to extract meaningful insights from flow cytometry data.
5.Have you worked with spectral flow cytometry, and if so, could you elaborate on your experience in this area?
Answer: Yes, I have experience with spectral flow cytometry. I’ve utilized this advanced technique to overcome spectral overlap challenges and improve the resolution of multicolor experiments. I’m familiar with the analysis and interpretation of spectral flow cytometry data, which has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of results in my previous projects.
