NOTIFICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF PROJECT ASSISTANT ON TEMPORARY BASIS
The Central National Herbarium, Botanical Survey of India, Howrah requires six Project
Assistant for the MOEF&CC funded project – “Non-Detriment Findings (NDFs) of Aquilaria
malaccensis Lam. (Agarwood) in India”.
Job Post: Project Assistant
Project Title: Non-Detriment Findings (NDFs) of Aquilaria malaccensis Lam. (Agarwood) in India
Place of Work: Based at Central National Herbarium (CNH), Botanical Survey of India
(B SI), Howrah, West Bengal with field surveys to be conducted different parts of India.
Age Limit: The upper age limit for Project Assistant should be 50 years as on 1.9.2023.
Tenure of the project: Four months.

The interview will
be conducted at the CNH, BSI, Howrah on 18.09.2023 at 11:30 AM forthe selection of the candidates. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for attending the interview. The selected candidates should submit self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, address proof, experience certificate, Aadhaar /e-Aadhaar, PAN card on joining.
Remuneration: The appointed Project Assistant will be paid Rs. 20,000/— + 27 % HRA (i.e. Rs. 25,400/-) per month. The Project Assistant will not be entitled to any other benefits during and after expiry of the project tenure.
Essential Qualifications: The applicant should essentially possess a minimum Bachelor
degree (B.Sc.) in Botany/ Life Sciences/ Environmental Science awarded by any UGC
recognized university.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge/ experience in plant taxonomic studies, field survey
and plant collection.
