Paraxel is a leading provider of clinical research services, helping organizations develop new medical treatments and therapies. We are currently looking for a Senior Health Economics Modeling Associate to join our team in India.
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support the development of health economic models, such as cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, to understand the economic value of clients’ products and interventions.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide high quality, timely, scientific/strategic solutions to meet client needs
- Conduct and analyze primary and secondary research to shape strategic recommendations
- Build and check health economic models using appropriate software tools
- Systematically search for and synthesize qualitative and quantitative health economic evidence
- Write, refine, review, and critique sections of reports and other deliverables
- Maintain professional conduct at all working levels within a client organization
- Complete basic job-related responsibilities, including timesheets and expense reports
Skills
- Strong computing skills, including MS Office and MS Excel (including VBA)
- High analytical ability and basic knowledge of at least one programming language like R, Python, Julia, etc.
- Attention to detail and written accuracy
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, ambition, and flexibility
- Fluent in English
Knowledge and Experience
- Training and experience in health economics, including development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models
- Experience with programming and software such as SAS, STATA, R, etc. is advantageous
- Keen interest in medical research, healthcare provision, and pharmaceutical industry
Education
Master’s degree or equivalent in life science or a quantitative discipline, such as health economics, economics, mathematics, or statistics.
