MNR FRI is a section 8 and not-for-profit organization established in 2016 under the umbrella of MNR Group of Institutions, established by Sri. M. N. Raju on August 15th, 1974 in Hyderabad. MNR-FRI focuses on understanding disease biology and biomedical sciences processing the knowledge for better management and potential therapeutics. In addition, to extend the research support services/activities to other MNR colleges, MNR-FRI plans to function as a business and technology development incubator (Bio-Nest) and clinical trial research platform to support budding entrepreneurs in Life Sciences and biomedical sciences. We aim to create an innovative biomedical ecosystem and promote our existing research activities.

Name of the Position: Research Manager

Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Ph.D. in Life Sciences/ or allied areas from a reputed institute. Experience in entrepreneurship development, businessdevelopment/ alliance integration/ strategy planning in a reputed organization. Working experience related to healthcare and bio-innovation startups will be given preference.
OR
First class in Post-Graduation in any life sciences/ pharmaceutical sciences/ chemical sciences/ management sciences with a minimum of 3 –

; 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship development, and business development in a reputed organization.

Desirable:

• Understanding and experience in activities related to supporting the Startup and Entrepreneurial ecosystem.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership and senior policymakers.
• Ability to critically identify and evaluate potential partners, the ability and capacity to decide on and between strategic approaches and tactics by which to achieve desired goals and impact.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a broad and diverse audience.

Job Descriptions of the Research Manager, MNR-FRI

The Research Manager shall be responsible for the following works:

1. General administrative activities of MNR-FRI.
2. Preparations for administrative documents required related to research activities.
3. Developing and sustaining networking with different people as and when required.
4. Scouting for research proposals for research grants from Govt. /Private funding bodies.
5. Mentoring and hand-holding the faculties of other colleges of MNR for research proposals/grant submissions.
6. Formation of expert committees for screening of the research proposals.
7. Coordination of MNR EC BHR and organizing the ethical clearance meeting as and when required.
8. Coordination with the HoDs/In-charges of other colleges of MNR to get support for the research as and when required.
9. Planning and organizing different outreach and capacity-building programs.
10. Entrepreneurship development, business development/ alliance integration/ strategy planning of MNR FRI.
11. Preparation/submission of various reports and getting necessary approvals relevant to setting incubation center.
