Job Posting – Scientific Data Associate

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Requirements:

• Biological Assay Techniques: Enzyme immunoassays (ELISA), immune-turbidimetric assay, chemiluminescent immunoassays (CLIA), Rapid/simple single-use assays (rapid test), Nucleic acid amplification technology (NAT) assays. Elementary knowledge of IHC.
• Molecular Biology Techniques: Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Real Time – PCR, Western blotting, HLA typing by DNA.
• Microbiology techniques: Broth micro dilution (BMD), antifungal sensitivity, Galactomannan, Fluorescence microscope.
• Knowledge of databases such as Uniprot, NCBI and PubMed would be useful but not essential as full training will be given.
• MS Excel – V look up, H look up, Concat, Data Validation, Cell editing etc.

Education:

M.Sc./PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Applied Genetics and Biotechnology field.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Data input associated with new product addition.
• Produce associated kit protocol booklets in line with guidelines and input from wider teams.
• Carry out data updates in a timely manner with high attention to detail.
• Carry out data quality checks. This includes screening potential new product data images.
• Ensure that Abcam’s high quality standards are maintained.
