Position: Microbiologist
Major duties & key responsibilities:
- Responsible for Microbiological day to day activities, including online sampling, analysis of ingredients, semifinished products, and finished products.
- Handle environmental microbiology monitoring program.
- Conduct personnel hygiene monitoring for food handlers and ATP monitoring.
- Validation of cleaning and sanitation program.
- Manage shift activities for microbiology.
- Facilitate audits and maintain documentation related to Microbiology Laboratory Management Systems.
- Conduct RCA and CAPA meetings on microbiological issues, follow up, and report actions.
- Handle and report proficiency testing.
- Maintain documentation of microbiology and verify records.
- Conduct weekly and monthly audits such as GMP and personnel hygiene.
- Encourage a “Right First Time” culture and ensure employees are trained and accountable for quality.
- Provide training to food handlers on GMP.
- Monthly KPI reporting.
- Perform trend analysis of plant microbiology issues.
- Data reporting and SAP release of finished goods.
Key Skills
- Sound knowledge of Microbiology and ability to troubleshoot microbiological issues.
- Strong team management and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience
Education: MSc in Microbiology
Experience: Minimum 5 years in handling microbiology analysis of Beverages
