As a Senior Scientist I, you will play a crucial role in leading the Research, Development, and Quality (RDQ) activities required for new product development and portfolio maintenance. With a focus on delivering the desired consumer experience, you will independently plan, coordinate, and lead technical projects in alignment with RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. Your responsibilities will include communicating project status and risks, coordinating pilot
plant and factory trials, and leading development activities such as product shelf-life testing and consumer test preparation. Additionally, you will use digital simulation models to gain consumer insights and commercial information, maintain accurate consumer-led specifications, and provide direction for product development. Stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of results will be key in this role.Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing requirements
- Communicate project status and risks effectively
- Coordinate pilot plant and factory trials according to good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements
- Lead development activities, including product shelf-life testing and consumer test preparation
- Use digital simulation models to obtain and interpret consumer insights and commercial information
- Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications
- Responsible for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of results
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Science
- Experience in leading RDQ teams and influencing cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Proactive problem-solving and solution implementation
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including technical report writing
- Coaching and mentoring capabilities
Additional Information
Education/Certifications: Bachelors/Masters in Food Science
- Job specific requirements: Experience of new line commissioning and/or manufacturing experience will be preferred.
- Travel Requirements: This role may require travel within India, both short and long duration.
- Country Relocation: Within country relocation support is available, and minimal support is offered for candidates voluntarily moving internationally through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy.
