Danaher India Partners with IISc to Boost MSc Life Sciences Scholarships Danaher India, a leading company, has teamed up with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to provide scholarships for students pursuing an MSc in Life Sciences. This initiative falls under Danaher India’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, where they strive to make a positive impact on society.
Danaher India Offers MSc Scholarships:
The MSc Life Sciences program at IISc was launched in 2022 as part of the Biological Sciences Division. Currently, around 78 students are enrolled in this program, and they will be the beneficiaries of these scholarships.
The official launch of the scholarships took place on August 22, 2023, at IISc. The event was graced by Mr. Srinath Venkatesh, President of Danaher India, Ms. Joyline Rodrigues from the Danaher India CSR Board, and Prof. Usha Vijayraghavan, Dean of Biological Sciences at IISc. Several department chairs from IISc’s Biological Sciences and directors from various Danaher operating companies also attended the event.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Venkatesh expressed the company’s pride in partnering with the esteemed Indian Institute
of Science for their CSR initiative. Danaher India’s CSR efforts are deeply rooted in their culture and values, which revolve around people and creating a sustainable impact in the communities they serve. They focus on three key areas: advancing healthcare innovation, building a diverse and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)-ready workforce, and environmental protection. This collaboration with IISc is seen as an opportunity to strengthen the partnership while furthering these CSR goals. Mr. Venkatesh also mentioned their plans to host IISc students at their manufacturing and research facilities, enhancing their academic and industry perspectives.Mr. Prof. Deepak Saini and Prof. Maria Thaker, Coordinators of the MSc in Life Sciences Program at IISc, expressed their pleasure at Danaher’s generous support. They highlighted that this scholarship program would not only assist financially but also provide intellectual opportunities for the students to explore new directions in research and creativity. This collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting partnership between IISc and Danaher, with the aim of fostering academic growth and innovation in the field of Life Sciences.

The Brilliant Students are not only from IISC Or IISER and NISER institutions. The Brilliant Students are from other Universities or Instituetions also. Some specialisations like Human genetics & Molecular biology are available as a Sub-Subjects a part of Life Sciences. The Genetics and Molecular biology fields are also serve the society. In these fields are also having students and in these poor students also studieng.
Some prestigious Universities like Banaras Hindu University, Bharatiyar university, Vellore Institute of Technology are offering the courses of Genetics & Molecular biology.
Even though University feeses are low, the living experiences like Hostel fee are nearly one lakh rupees. Hence the total expences are reaching ₹150000/-(Rupees one lakh fifteen thousand) for every year. The ambetious poor students are unabla tobear.
So the poor meritt students are dropped to go higher studies.
Top Instituetions as above are selecting the students from all india basis also. If non-lical (other state students) have been admitted they can’t get the scholorships from their own state Governments.
So i request your honour to provide the scholorships for the Msc students from top 50 Institutes as per NIRF ranking.
