Associate Content Editor (Biosis) – Clarivate
Job Description
Clarivate is seeking an Associate Content Editor for the Biosis team, responsible for selecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing scientific research to support specialty collections on Web of Science. The ideal candidate should have comprehensive knowledge in a life sciences subject such as biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, pharmacology, or genetics. This role requires meeting quality standards and being target-driven.
About You
- Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular biology, or any related Life Sciences field
- 1+ years of experience in content editing in a science-related field
- Strong scientific research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn new software tools
Responsibilities
- Apply concepts from biotechnology, microbiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology to curate biology-related data from research articles following editorial policies
- Achieve weekly production volumes and consistently meet quality targets
- Take an active role within the team to ensure targets are met
- Adhere to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process changes
- Raise, discuss, and resolve subject matter and production issues
- Maintain and develop scientific knowledge and skills training as required
- Promote personal safety and follow recognized codes of practice
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management
