National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament 2007 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.

Applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian Nationals for the following Research Associate purely on contractual basis

Name of the Post: Research Associate (Rare Disease)

No. of Posts: 01

Nature of Post: Contractual for 01 (One) year, which can be extended further after a thorough review of the candidate’s performance.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. degree in respective discipline or in the allied areas, with an excellent academic record in his/her career. Candidates who have submitted the thesis and awaiting the award of degree may also apply.

*Candidate has to produce a letter from the competent authority stating that thesis has been submitted and the final viva/thesis defense is pending.

Desirable Qualifications:

01. Research Associate (Rare disease):

The candidate should have Ph.D. in organic synthesis, especially in asymmetric synthesis and multistep synthesis supported by publications in peer reviewed journals, familiarity with modern characterization techniques including chromatography, spectroscopy (IR, NMR, HRMS etc.). Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in multistep synthesis of complex natural products. Previous experience in industry would be added advantage.

Emoluments: Rs.47,000/- + HRA

I am well-versed in utilizing various spectroscopic techniques, including IR, NMR, and HRMS, to analyze and confirm the structures of synthesized compounds. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in chromatographic methods for separation and purification, such as column chromatography and HPLC.

Question 4: Could you discuss any experience you may have in working on research projects in collaboration with industry partners? How do you believe this experience could be valuable for this role? Answer: I have had the privilege of collaborating with industry partners during my Ph.D. journey. This experience provided me with insights into the practical applications of my research and the importance of aligning scientific goals with real-world needs. I believe that this exposure to industry practices would enable me to bridge the gap between academia and practical applications in the field of rare diseases.

How do you envision your skills and expertise contributing to the understanding and advancement of knowledge in this challenging field? Answer: Rare diseases present unique challenges due to their complexity and limited available information. My expertise in organic synthesis and characterization techniques will enable me to contribute to the development of potential therapeutic compounds. By applying innovative approaches and leveraging my experience in designing complex molecules, I aim to make significant contributions to unraveling the intricacies of rare diseases and exploring novel treatment avenues.
