Are you looking for some possible interview questions for the role of Junior Research Fellow at RGCB, then read below

  1. Can you explain the objective of the DBT MK Bhan fellowship project titled “Exploring the biomarkers and their pertinence to develop a biosensor for detecting antibiotic pollutant and their by-products in the marine organisms and aquaculture food products”? Answer: The project aims to explore biomarkers and develop a biosensor for detecting antibiotic pollutants and their by-products in marine organisms and aquaculture food products. It seeks to address the issue of antibiotic pollution and its impact on the environment and food safety.
  2. How does your Master’s Degree/BTech Degree in Life Sciences contribute to your qualifications for this Junior Research Fellow position? Answer: My Master’s Degree/BTech Degree in Life Sciences has provided me with a strong foundation in the relevant scientific principles and techniques necessary for conducting research in this field. It has equipped me with the knowledge and skills required to contribute effectively to this project.
  3. Can you provide examples of your experience in bioinformatics, programming languages (R, PYTHON, Perl, Linux, etc.), and data analysis? Answer: I have hands-on experience in bioinformatics, where I have utilized various tools and software to analyze biological data. I am proficient in programming languages such as R, PYTHON, and Perl, and have applied them in data analysis tasks. I am also familiar with Linux operating systems and have used them in my research work.
  4. How would you approach the development of a biosensor for detecting antibiotic pollutants and their by-products in marine organisms and aquaculture food products? Answer: I would begin by conducting a thorough literature review to understand the existing knowledge and techniques related to biosensor development. I would then design and carry out experiments to identify potential biomarkers associated with antibiotic pollutants. Using this information, I would work on the development of a biosensor, considering factors like sensitivity, specificity, and practical applicability in detecting these pollutants in marine organisms and aquaculture food products.
  5. Can you discuss any research experience you have in next-generation sequencing data analysis, microbiology, or molecular biology, and how it relates to this project? Answer: I have gained research experience in next-generation sequencing data analysis, where I have worked with large-scale genomic datasets and applied bioinformatics tools to extract meaningful information. Additionally, my experience in microbiology and molecular biology has involved techniques like PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, and gene expression analysis. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation to contribute to the research aspects of this project, such as analyzing sequencing data or conducting molecular biology experiments related to antibiotic pollutants and their detection.

Note: The answers provided are general examples and should be tailored to your own experiences, qualifications, and knowledge related to the job description.
