- The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for a period of one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
- No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.

Educational Qualifications – M.Sc in any branch of Biology/Life Sciences. The candidate should have qualified for any National Level Examination.
Job Description & Desired Knowledge: Applicant should have experience in Molecular Biology, mammalian cell culture work and biochemical assays.
Emoluments – The selected candidate will draw consolidated emoluments of Rs.31,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019)

Additionally, I would like to explore the use of advanced molecular techniques, such as CRISPR-Cas9, to study HDAC5’s function in transcriptional reprogramming. By combining my expertise with the project’s objectives, I hope to make valuable contributions to the research.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you encountered while working on a previous research project and how you overcame it? Answer: During my master’s research, I faced challenges in optimizing a complex PCR reaction. Despite several attempts, the amplification was inconsistent. To address this, I collaborated with senior researchers and sought their guidance. Together, we identified potential sources of error and implemented necessary adjustments to the protocol. This collaborative approach eventually led to successful PCR optimization and meaningful results.
- In your opinion, what are the key ethical considerations while conducting research in the field of Biology/Life Sciences? How do you ensure compliance with ethical guidelines in your work? Answer: Ethical considerations are crucial in research, especially in the field of Biology/Life Sciences. It is essential to prioritize the welfare of research subjects, use appropriate consent procedures, and maintain data confidentiality. To ensure compliance, I adhere to institutional ethical guidelines and consult with ethics review committees when necessary. Additionally, I always prioritize transparency and open communication with participants to address any concerns.
- As a Junior Research Fellow, how do you plan to manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines and achieve research objectives? Answer: Time management is vital to the success of any research project. I believe in setting clear milestones and breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps. By creating a detailed timeline and regularly evaluating progress, I can identify potential bottlenecks and make necessary adjustments. Moreover, effective communication with the PI and other team members ensures a collaborative effort in meeting project deadlines and achieving research goals.
