Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Assistant(JRF) in the CRDC, Pune funded project entitled “Differential Expression Of Circulating Monocyte and Exosomal MicroRNAS for Osteoclastogenesis and Inflammation in Diabetic Charcot Neuroarthropathy: A Case-Control study “ under Dr. Ashu Rastogi, Associate Professor, Department of Endocrinology, PGIMER Chandigarh.

Answer: I have completed my Master’s degree in Life Sciences and have two years of research experience. During my academic journey, I focused on subjects related to molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry. I have also actively participated in various research projects and have gained hands-on experience in laboratory techniques and data analysis.
2. What motivated you to apply for this specific project on “Differential Expression Of Circulating Monocyte and Exosomal MicroRNAS for Osteoclastogenesis and Inflammation in Diabetic Charcot Neuroarthropathy”? Answer: I have a keen interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying complex diseases. The opportunity to work on a project that investigates the role of circulating monocytes and exosomal microRNAs in a condition like Diabetic Charcot Neuroarthropathy is highly intriguing to me. I believe this research can provide valuable insights into the pathogenesis and potential therapeutic targets for this condition.
3. Could you describe your experience in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics? Answer: During my research experience, I have extensively worked in the field of molecular biology. I have experience in various techniques such as DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and gene expression analysis. In terms of bioinformatics, I have utilized various databases and tools for sequence analysis, primer design, and data mining. I am also familiar with statistical analysis and data visualization using software like R and Python.
4. Have you worked with monocytes or exosomal microRNAs in any of your previous research projects? Answer: While I have not specifically worked with monocytes or exosomal microRNAs, I have gained experience in studying various cell types and molecular components in different research projects. I have a strong foundation in understanding cellular processes and genetic regulation, which I believe will be valuable in adapting to this project’s requirements.
5. How do you plan to contribute to the project and what are your expectations from this research experience? Answer: I aim to contribute to this project by applying my knowledge and skills in molecular biology and bioinformatics to investigate the differential expression of circulating monocyte and exosomal microRNAs in Diabetic Charcot Neuroarthropathy. I will actively participate in sample collection, experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation. My goal is to contribute meaningful insights to the research community, expand my scientific expertise, and learn from the experienced team working on this project.
