Application are invited on prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- as online payment in favour of the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana along with the attested copies of certificates for following positions at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in the Centre of Excellence project “Development and Integration of Advanced Genomic Technologies for Targeted Breeding” at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana’’CSS-27 funded by Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, DBT.
- One position of Project Scientist-1 @ Rs. 56,000/- + 16% HRA with increment of 5% every two years based on performance review
- Three positions Project Associate-1 @ Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA
Educational Qualifications for Project Scientist-1:
- B.Sc. Biotechnology/Agriculture/Biosciences with minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Fruit Sciences/Vegetable Science with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Fruit Science/Vegetable Sciences with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Maximum age: 35 years.
Note-I The candidates who do not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II The candidates should ensure that they fulfill the qualifications by the last date of submission of the application.
Note-III Desirable Qualifications: Experience of working in crop plants on Genomics/High throughput SNP genotyping/Genome-wide association mapping/High resolution gene and QTL mapping/ Genome and transcriptome data analysis/Genetic Transformation as evident from good quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
