A reputed research organization, The Foundation for Medical Research, is inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant for its project focusing on surveillance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate (B.Sc.) who is keen on pursuing an M.Sc. degree (by Research) in Applied Biology.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- B.Sc. in Microbiology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology with good grades (>57%) and
interest in research as a career. - Knowledge and practical experience of microbiology and molecular biology techniques.
- Ability to handle and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Capacity to plan experiments.
- Methodical data recording skills.
- Good health to work in a research environment.
- Residency in Mumbai with good connectivity.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in working with infectious bacteria and knowledge of biosafety practices.
- Exposure to genomics or metagenomics.
- Strong writing skills.
The selected candidate will be appointed on a project basis, with a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 25,000/- per month, based on qualifications and experience. Prior to finalizing the appointment, the successful candidate will need to undergo competency testing. Confirmation of studentship only in post probation period (6 months) after joining.
