Walk-in-Interview for Project Associate – I (PA–I) to work in a project entitled “Phenome India-CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase” for a duration of two years.

Posts: Project Associate – I

Number of Post: 1 No.

Age: Maximum 35 years as on 02.08.2023. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR/Institute rules.

Duration of the project: This position is purely temporary for a period of two year. Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI.

Answer: I hold a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, where I specialized in the study of genetic engineering, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. I have also gained practical laboratory experience during my academic projects, focusing on microbial cultures, genetic manipulation, and biochemical analysis.
  2. How familiar are you with the project entitled “Phenome India-CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase”? What interests you about this project? Answer: I am familiar with the project “Phenome India-CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase” and find it intriguing. The project aims to create a comprehensive knowledge base on health-related phenotypic data, which can contribute to a better understanding of human health and disease. I am particularly interested in the potential of utilizing this data for research and developing strategies for personalized medicine.
  3. Can you discuss any previous experience you have had in handling and analyzing data in the field of biotechnology, microbiology, or biochemistry? Answer: During my Master’s program, I conducted various experiments that involved handling and analyzing data in the field of biotechnology. For example, I performed DNA sequencing, PCR, and gene expression analysis to study gene regulation in microbial systems. I am proficient in using software tools for data analysis and interpretation, such as R and Python.
  4. How do you approach working in a time-bound and project-oriented environment? Can you provide an example of a project you worked on with defined timelines and deliverables? Answer: I am accustomed to working in time-bound and project-oriented environments. During my Master’s program, I worked on a research project focused on the production of recombinant proteins using microbial expression systems. The project had clear timelines for each stage, from clone construction to protein purification, and I successfully met the milestones and deliverables within the specified time frame.
  5. What motivates you to pursue a research project that is temporary in nature? How do you ensure that you contribute effectively during the limited duration? Answer: Temporary research projects provide an opportunity to work on focused objectives and contribute to specific scientific goals within a defined time frame. I am motivated by the chance to make tangible progress and valuable contributions during the project’s duration. To ensure effectiveness, I prioritize tasks, maintain regular communication with the team, and continuously update my knowledge to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field. I also seek feedback and guidance from mentors to optimize my contributions and ensure the project’s success.
