Age-Reversing Chemical Cocktail
According to a report by the New York Post, researchers at Harvard University have made an exciting discovery regarding the reversal of aging. They have identified a combination of drugs that could potentially be formulated into a pill with the ability to reverse the aging process. The study, titled “Chemically induced reprogramming to reverse cellular aging,” was recently published in the journal Aging on July 12th.
The team of scientists found that six different chemical cocktails were effective in reversing aging in human and mice skin cells, effectively reducing their age by several years. Harvard researcher David Sinclair also shared this breakthrough on Twitter. He expressed his gratitude in sharing their latest publication, explaining that while they had previously demonstrated age reversal through gene therapy, they have now shown that it is also achievable through chemical cocktails. This discovery brings us closer to affordable whole-body rejuvenation.
It is worth noting that each chemical cocktail comprised five to seven agents, many of which are already known for treating various physical and mental disorders. Sinclair mentioned that he and his team at Harvard Medical School dedicated over three years to identifying molecules that could effectively reverse cellular aging and
rejuvenate human cells.Sinclair also tweeted about promising results from studies conducted on the optic nerve, brain tissue, kidney, and muscle. These studies demonstrated improved vision and extended lifespan in mice, and more recently in April of this year, improved vision in monkeys. He further mentioned that preparations for human clinical trials for their first age reversal gene therapy are currently underway. The first human clinical trials are scheduled to begin late next year, assuming all goes well.
Grateful to share our latest publication: We’ve previously shown age reversal is possible using gene therapy to turn on embryonic genes. Now we show it’s possible with chemical cocktails, a step towards affordable whole-body rejuvenation 1/17 https://t.co/J9c01lv5FQ

However, it’s important to note that some other scientists, including a Harvard professor, have expressed caution regarding the study, considering it to be mostly hype and in its preliminary stages.
