JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
Online applications are invited through the online system on the ICMR-NARI website up to 12-07-2023 for the following post under the DST SERB Core Research Grant
project entitled, “miRNA Loaded Nanoparticles: Investigation and Validation of Targeted miRNA Delivery as A Prospective Antiviral Approach Against HSV-2 Infection”.
The post is purely temporary basis. In case of OBC, Non-creamy layer certificate from the competent authority is empowered to issue such certificate. The Date for Personal

It is mandatory:
Age and experience is relaxable in deserving cases . Essential Qualification:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a) Scholars who are selected through NET conducted by CSIR-UGC (Lectureship)
b)GATE qualified in Life Science or Biotechnology
c) The selection process through National level exams conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS,
DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable Qualification:
Candidates who are Indian citizens having Post graduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences or M.Tech /B.E./MBBS/MD degree from India with at least 60% or equivalent CGPA or Grade Point Average (GPA) for general and OBC category, or 55% for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates can apply only. SPPU-PET-qualified candidates are also eligible for the position. Additional research experience, after postgraduate degree, will be preferred.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- plus 27% HRA

I also follow reputable research institutions and organizations working in the field, such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the International AIDS Society (IAS).
4. Can you describe a challenging research project you have worked on and how you overcame obstacles?
Answer: During my M.Sc program, I worked on a project investigating drug resistance in HIV patients. One of the challenges was obtaining sufficient patient samples for analysis. To overcome this, I actively collaborated with local healthcare centers and established a strong network to collect the required samples. I also optimized laboratory protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
5. How do you prioritize your tasks and manage your time effectively in a research setting?
Answer: In a research setting, I prioritize tasks by identifying their urgency and importance. I create a detailed work plan with timelines and milestones, allowing me to allocate sufficient time to each task. Additionally, I regularly review my progress and make adjustments if necessary. Effective time management helps me meet deadlines and ensures efficient progress in my research work.
