Walk-in–Interview

Eligible candidates are invited to appear for walk-in-interview on 10/05/2023 at 10 am for the posts of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Project Assistant (PA) under the project ‘Advanced Microalgal Biorefinery approach for the recycling of domestic sewage wastewater for a cleaner and greener Indian Himalayan region’ funded by National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (NIHE) KosiKatarmal, Almora – 263643, Uttarakhand, India (Under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Govt. of India). Both the positions (JRF and PA) are purely on contractual basis for three years or till the project

tenure, whichever is earlier. The tenure of JRF will be initially for a period of two years and upgraded to SRF based on the performance.

Post I

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of Posts – 01

Maximum Age – 28 years, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Physically Handicapped and OBC(NCL) applicants as per Govt. of India rules & regulations.

Fellowship Amount – Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA as admissible or Hostel facility (if available).

Qualification/ eligibility – Candidates must have obtained either 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E./B.Tech. (Degree in Chem. Engg., Biotechnology, Biochem. Engg., Energy Engg., Environmental and allied engineering subjects) with GATE/NET or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc. (Biotechnology, microbiology, environmental science and allied science subjects) with GATE/NET or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA M.E./M.Tech. (Degree in Chem. Engg., Biotechnology, Biochem. Engg., Energy Engg., Environmental and allied engineering subjects).

Post II

Name of the Post – Project Assistant (PA)

No. of Posts – 01

Maximum Age – 28 years, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Physically Handicapped and OBC(NCL) applicants as per Govt. of India rules & regulations.

Fellowship Amount – Rs. 24,000 per month fixed

Qualification/ eligibility – Candidates must have obtained either 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E./B.Tech. (Degree in Chem. Engg., Biotechnology, Biochem. Engg., Energy Engg., Environmental and allied engineering subjects) or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc. (Biotechnology, microbiology, environmental science and allied science subjects) or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA M.E./M.Tech. (Degree in Chem. Engg., Biotechnology, Biochem. Engg., Energy Engg., Environmental and allied engineering subjects).

The interested candidates who found themselves eligible as per above qualification should report in SSS-NIBE, Kapurthala Administrative Section at 10:00 am on 10th May 2023 to appear in the walk-in-interview along with application form in the prescribed format, CV, and one set of photocopies and originals of documents in support of educational qualification and relevant certificates.
