Hey, all the very best and we hope you get selected for this JRF post at Panjab University, do check out all of the possible interview questions and the answers.
- Can you describe your experience with nucleic acids, nanotechnology, and lateral flow assay?
- Answer: I have experience with nucleic acid isolation, purification, and quantification, as well as knowledge of basic nanotechnology principles. I have also worked with lateral flow assay development, including designing and optimizing the assay parameters.
- How familiar are you with the research project “Development of gold nanoparticles based lateral flow immunoassay for rapid and early detection of novel biomarker miR204 in type 2 diabetes (T1D)”?
- Answer: I have read the project description and I am familiar with the general concept of using gold nanoparticles for lateral flow immunoassays. I am also aware of the importance of miR204 as a biomarker in type 2 diabetes.
- Can you explain your knowledge of UGC-NET/GATE/other national entrance tests conducted by the Government of India?
- Answer: I have cleared the UGC-NET exam and am aware of the exam pattern and eligibility criteria. I have also taken the GATE exam and scored above the qualifying marks. I am familiar with other national entrance tests conducted by the Government of India as well.
- How would you approach the development of a gold nanoparticles-based lateral flow immunoassay?
- Answer: I would begin by identifying the optimal size and shape of gold nanoparticles for the assay. I would then conjugate the gold nanoparticles with the appropriate antibodies or nucleic acids. I would also optimize the assay conditions such as buffer pH, concentration of gold nanoparticles, and antibody or nucleic acid concentration. Finally, I would validate the assay using appropriate controls and samples.
- How do you plan to contribute to the research project and what are your long-term goals in this field?
- Answer: I plan to bring my expertise in nucleic acid isolation, purification, and quantification, as well as lateral flow assay development to the project. My long-term goal is to gain more experience in this field and eventually pursue a career in research and development of diagnostic assays.
