Advertisement for the post of Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF), NIPER-Hajipur is an autonomous premier institution of national importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India, committed to pharmaceutical education and research. NIPER-Hajipur invites applications for the post of PDF in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and the JRF position in the Department of Biotechnology on a contractual basis.

Minimum Qualification: PhD degree in respective discipline or allied areas, with a consistently good academic record throughout. Candidates who have submitted the thesis and awaiting the award of their degree

*Candidate has to produce a letter from the competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/thesis defense is pending.
The appointees will be called Postdoctoral Fellows (PDF) and Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and the initial award will be for ONE Year which can be extended further. The extension after each year will be after a thorough review of the candidate’s performance.
Desirable qualifications:
Post-Doctoral Fellowship: Good publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Research experience in metabolomics / DMPK/cell line, and in vivo assessment of endothelial, vascular function, and brain function in small rodents will be preferred. Additional skills in tissues and organoid culturing, confocal imaging, image analysis, and immunohistochemistry are highly valued. Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Be capable of conceptualizing, designing experiments and conducting studies independently as well as cooperatively with other lab members as a team and have the capability to write quality manuscripts and grants.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Candidates with a Master’s in Life/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biophysics, Biology, or similar disciplines are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have a strong background in mammalian cell biology, sorting and flow cytometry operations. We are looking for a highly motivated and competent JRF to work in research with a focus, who also decides to work in research and take on administrative tasks. The successful candidate will support the core facility in providing flow cytometry services to users. The research tasks include the implementation of cell culture and in vitro studies as well as the implementation of animal experiments. For a collection of blood/tissue, advanced cell culture specimens and biopsies/liquid biopsies for flow cytometry. To perform standard molecular biology experiments and train lab colleagues in the techniques. To ensure that the facility is adequately stocked with FACS buffers, reagents and chemicals, etc. required for the smooth operation of the FACS facility. The professional has to ensure that SOPs and safety regulations are complied with and that the use of flow cytometry is recorded and reported to the faculty in charge.
The JRF is mainly expected to work in transgalactic approaches to advance scientific and technical innovation and get involved in more exciting projects.
