Hey, there since you seem to be interested in this Senior Research Fellow job at CBMR, then make sure you check out all of the possible interview questions and answers.

  1. What experience do you have in molecular biology and physiology? Answer: As mentioned in the job description, preference will be given to candidates having experience in physiology and molecular biology. I have experience in both molecular biology and physiology, particularly in studying the regulation of gene expression in cardiac cells.
  2. What is your understanding of the R7RGS-G protein beta 5 complex, and how it regulates intercommunication of different cardiac cell types? Answer: The R7RGS-G protein beta 5 complex is a protein complex that regulates intercommunication between different cardiac cell types to attenuate chemo-induced cardiac pathologies. This complex has been shown to play a critical role in the development of the cardiovascular system, and dysregulation of this complex has been linked to various cardiovascular diseases.
  3. Have you worked on any ICMR funded project before? If yes, can you describe your contribution? Answer: No, I have not worked on any ICMR funded project before. However, I have worked on projects funded by other organizations such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the American Heart Association (AHA). In these projects, my contributions included experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  4. Can you describe a research project that you have worked on and the methodology you used? Answer: Sure. One of the research projects I worked on involved studying the role of a specific transcription factor in regulating gene expression in cardiac cells. We used techniques such as ChIP-seq to identify the binding sites of the transcription factor on DNA and RNA-seq to analyze the downstream effects of transcription factor binding on gene expression.
  5. How do you plan to approach the research project if you are selected for the position? Answer: If selected for the position, I plan to first thoroughly review the project proposal and any existing literature related to the project. I will then develop a detailed experimental plan in consultation with the project supervisor and other team members. I will also ensure that I keep detailed records of all experimental procedures and results to facilitate data analysis and interpretation.
