I also have hands-on experience in all the contemporary techniques, including DNA sequencing and PCR amplification. I believe my background and experience make me an excellent fit for this project.

2. Can you discuss a specific research project you have worked on in the past and your role in that project?

Answer: During my previous research experience, I worked on a project that focused on understanding the genetic basis of a rare genetic disorder. My primary responsibility was to analyze DNA sequencing data and identify genetic variations that might be responsible for the disease. Answer: Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is a genetic disorder that affects the skeletal muscles. It is caused by mutations in the DUX4 gene, and its genetic architecture is complex and poorly understood. Identifying the genetic architecture of FSHD in India could help in developing better diagnostic tools and treatments for the disorder. It could also provide insight into the disease’s prevalence and the genetic variations that contribute to its severity.
