Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow to work in the field of Quantitative Developmental Biology (PI: Sundar Naganathan, Symmetry lab) in the Dept. of Biological Sciences (DBS), TIFR, Mumbai.

Essential Qualifications – B.Tech in Biology or related fields, or M.Sc. in Biology or related fields with minimum 60% marks. Qualified through UGCCSIR NET or any National level Ph.D. entrance tests in Biology, such as, GATE.
Desirable Experience – Research experience in developmental biology or molecular biology; experience in working with embryos from any model system and computational image analysis is an added bonus.
Job Requirements:
The JRF will be involved in understanding the role of retinoic acid during somite formation in zebrafish embryos. In particular, the mechanisms by which somites on the left and right sides attain similar sizes and shapes as a function of retinoic acid will be evaluated.
Fellowship – Rs.31000/- (JRF) + HRA
