Walk in Interview
Walk-in-interviews will be going to held on 23rd January 2023 at the Institute of Forest Biodiversity (IFB), Dulapally, Kompally (S.O.), Hyderabad, Telangana -500 100. For the positions of Junior Research Fellow(JRFs)/Junior Project Fellows (JPFs)/ Project Assistant for the research projects. Details of the advertisement will be available on IFB Website (http://ifb.icfre.org & www.icfre.org) Interested and eligible candidates are requested to attend the walk-in-interview for the following positions:

i. NAME OF THE POST: JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW/ JUNIOR PROJECT FELLOW

Name of the Project: Growth performance and suitability of
different bamboo species for flute industries of Pilibhit, Uttar PradeshDuration: 36 months
Essential Qualifications – First Class Post Graduate degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Agro-Forestry or Agricultural Science and Graduation (science stream) with first class
Total Emoluments – Rs. 20,000/month for two years and 22,000/month for the third year.
ii. NAME OF THE POSTION: PROJECT ASSISTANT
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 01 each
Name of the Project – Study on Climate Driven Effects on Indian Forests through Long term Monitoring (AICRP-31)
Name of the PI – Smt.Bharati Patel, Scientist-B
Project Period – Jan 2022-Dec 2024
Emoluments – NET Qualified (JRF) Rs.31000/- +HRA as Admissible OR Without NET (JPF)
Rs.20000/-Per Month +HRA as admissible.
Essential:
For Post I
1st Class M.Sc. Botany/Forestry/Ecology/ Environmental Science/ Life Science
- Knowledge of English (Speak, read, write)
- Capable to work in field and laboratory
- Computer proficiencyIntermediate in MS Office
Desirable:
- Knowledge in Data Analysis Software, Reference Manager
- Capable of extensive touring in forest areas for the collection of data/information
For Post II
- 1st Class M.Sc. Botany/M.Sc Forestry / M.Sc Agriculture/M.Sc Microbiology with specialization /dissertation in plant pathology/ Mycology.
- Knowledge of English(Speak, read, write)
- Capable to do analytical works
- Computer proficiencyIntermediate in MS Office
Desirable:
- Working experience in macro fungi & mycology
- Working knowledge of data analysis software
Post III
Name of the Project – Preparation of Forest Soil Health Cards under different Forest Vegetations in all the Forest Divisions of India (AICRP-22)

Emoluments – Rs.20000/- per month+ HRA as admissible

Name of the Project – Forest Fire Research and Knowledge Management (AICRP-14)

Project Period – Upto March2025
Emoluments – Rs.20000/- per month+ HRA as admissible
Essential: M.Sc(Forestry/Botany/Agriculture with Soil Science)
Desirable: Knowledge in Computer Applications/GIS

Terms & Conditions –
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible
- Upper age limit for JRF/JPF is 28 Years as of 01.06.2023 which is relaxable up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC
- There will be a written test to shortlist the candidates appearing in interviews for Project Assistant post in case the number exceeds 25.
- The Position is temporary and Co-terminus with the project
- Recruitment for the above temporary positions is governed by the rules of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education and does not guarantee subsequent employment in any Institute under the council
- The interested Candidates may appear before the Selection Committee with all their original certificates, and mark sheets with a self-attested copy of each of it, as per the date and time gave above. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview
- Offer of Engagement to the selected candidates will be issued subject to the availability of funds and approval of the Competent Authority. The tenure mentioned in the advertisement is tentative and liable to be curtailed/ extended as per the decision of the Competent Authority.
- If it is found at any stage of the process of thereafter that the candidate doesn’t fulfil the eligibility criteria, their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning and reason whatsoever. Further, the decision of the Director, IFB with regard to the selection process will be treated as finding and binding to all concerned. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the Institute
- The Candidates have to strictly follow the form annexed-1 (Typed/filled) duly signed and submitted on the date of the Interview.
- The selection process may continue till late evening/the next day. Candidates are advised to come prepared accordingly
