Project description:
- Molecular cloning of DNA constructs for CRISPR-based genomic manipulations
- NCBS is hiring a project associate who will generate DNA constructs for genomic manipulations in Drosophila melanogaster. This is part of DBT funded project. Based on the person’s interest and acumen, there is a possibility to be involved in fluorescence imaging and molecular screening. In addition, the candidate is expected to get involved in other projects that the fly facility might be doing. Persons with previous experience in the above kinds of experiments are preferred.
Essential Qualification & experience required:
Masters in any branch of Biological Science.
One (1) year experience in the molecular biology lab.
Skills required:
- Basic molecular biology techniques: molecular cloning, PCR.
- Drosophila genetics.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
- Good organization skills
Number of positions: 1
Minimum % of marks: 75%
Age limit: 35 years
Salary offered: 25,000 (without CSIR/GATE/equivalent qualification), 31000 + 24% HRA (with CSIR/GATE/equivalent qualification)
