Bioinformaticians wanted!

Nucleome Informatics Pvt. Ltd. is looking for Bioinformaticians in:

1. Plant genomics
2. Microbial genomics
3. Animal genomics
4. Human genomics

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis: Implement methods for genomics data analysis, and interpretation of genomics data (e.g, RNA- seq, Genomics, Metagenomics etc.). Apply and develop innovative analysis approaches when standard methods are not adequate. Communicate own work effectively orally and in writing; contribute to writing procedures and technical reports. Maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs.

Requirements:

1. Domain knowledge in either one of these:
   • Plant Biology • Animal Biology • Microbial Biology • Human Biology
2. Degree in a related scientific discipline (Bioinformatics, Computer science, Biology or Genomics) with 1+ year of experience
3. Sound knowledge of NGS data analysis – RNA seq, WGS, 16s Amplicon, GBS, Variant calling etc.
4. Strong hands-on skills in relevant programming languages (bash scripting, R, and Python)
5. Good Knowledge of existing bioinformatics databases and file formats.
6. Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records and follow deadlines in accordance with company policy.

Desirable:

1. Knowledge or familiarity with long- read sequencing and data analysis.
2. Knowledge of workflow managers like snakemake, Nextflow.
3. Experience in handling clinical data.
