Name of the Project – “Examining the neuroprotective property of novel tripeptides: a therapeutic approach to cerebral ischemic stroke ”
Name of the PI – Dr. Ishani Deb, Department of Biochemistry
Duration – Tenure of the project is initially for one year but extendable for up to 3 years (maximum) subjected to satisfactory performance.
Age Limit – The upper age limit for JRFs shall be 28 years, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC applicants.

Essential qualifications – M.Sc Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biophysics and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology with valid NET/GATE qualification. Sound knowledge of Chemistry is desirable.
